Instead of trying to talk to Generation Y with ads, we wanted to help Southeast Toyota connect with this fickle demographic with brand actions. So we created the limited edition Toyota Yaris Onyx. We developed the identity, name, and modified the interior and exterior of the Yaris to appeal to the Y-ers. The limited production of Yaris Onyx sold quickly at dealerships throughout the Southeast and breathed new life into the sub-compact brand.
